Christopher Damon (student from UNC)

1. What benefits did you get from this activity?

I was able to better develop skills centered around team work and adaptability. The activity allowed me to experience a cross cultural work experience which will go a long way in my future career.

2. How do you like your Chinese partner?

I enjoyed meeting and spending time with my Chinese partner. She was very welcoming and eager to meet me. She helped make the visit to ECNU that much more enjoyable.

3. What improvements to this activity do you suggest

The only improvement I could suggest is making sure all students on both sides understand what is going on and who is responsible for what. While I was fine personally, I knew a number of students on both sides of the project had difficulties in the early stages.

Chai Yilin (student from ECNU)

1. What benefits did you get from this activity?

I've had a better understanding of U.S. culture and the diverse cultures represented on any U.S. campus.

2. How do you like your American partner?

Aoife is a cool girl who loves DJ and running. She flashed a smile to everyone she met. The moment I met her, I wanted to talk and made friends with her. And we both had unforgettable memories.

3. What improvements to this activity do you suggest

I think the activity is amazing and wonderful. Thank you all for preparing it. If I have to give some advice, I will suggest that having dinner in the global harbor will be better...just kidding.

IvonneChirino (lecturer from UNC)

1. What do you think of the activities we had?

The virtual team project was a great opportunity to help students understand how to work in virtual teams and across cultures. Students appreciated working on the challenges that the organized games provided.

2. Any further suggestions or collaboration plans?

I hope we can continue to collaborate.

3. How do you like the Chinese culture like college life or food?

I think having students pair up with students in China during the activities helped them get a better understanding of other students in China.
